Lori Nash, LMFT, LMHC
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist | Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Hello! I’m Lori Nash, and I’m a dual-licensed relationship therapist and coach. (I’m also a Mom, a Grandmother, a wife, and an animal lover with a few too many furry and feathered housemates).
I lIke to think of myself as a personal trainer for your emotional backbone.
My passion is to work with people who are ready to do the work necessary to deepen their understanding and appreciation of each other and of themselves.
Roll Up Your Sleeves
Therapy is not a spectator sport. It’s not passive. Most of the growth you experience will occur as a result of what you choose to do as you navigate through your life.
You’ll experience the best results if you’re ready to be “real” and accountable. Be ready to do things differently. Be willing to name the elephant, to shake things up, and to infuse energy into your life and relationships.
Let Go of the Past
I find that the best results come when people are ready to let go of the old war wounds and the dead weight of the past.
They’re anxious to get beneath and burn through their “triggers” or raw spots, so they can stop having the same problems – and the same pain - over and over again in their lives and their relationships.
The bottom line about sessions with me…
I bring warmth and humor, compassion & common sense to our sessions, but you will be challenged.
You won't hear me say, "So how does that make you feel?" like the therapists in movies or on TV. I'm not a passive observer in the process, smiling and nodding.
I will get right in there with you, calling you out when needed, and challenging you when your thoughts or behaviors are throwing up roadblocks to your happiness.
We will talk about it all. Nothing is off-limits, unless you say it is.
